Prodigy Mambo Dance Company
Prodigy Mambo Dance Company, a mixture of rhythm, movements, and style, started in Manila, Philippines by Jonathan Picayo (from San Diego, California and a former member of Iran Castillo’s Son Y Pasos Dance Company) and was later joined by Raena Sy (Manila, Philippines), co-director and salsa partner. Having a solid dream of sharing the art of dance to everyone, Jonathan and Raena started teaching and promoting salsa in the Philippines since the year 2008 and have been continuously redefining salsa as an endless evolutionary art by way of Latin body movements and music.
Driven with the passion and love of teaching, Jonathan formed the ON2 dance company with a group of amateur salsa dancers who’s dream is to share the same passion to the rest of the world. The dance company was named Prodigy Mambo, named with the same vision that Jonathan has: unique and extraordinary salsa performers and social dancers, differentiated only with their own individual twist to the art.
